Town Church Choristers

Town Church choristers are our young singers aged 7-18. They sing together each Saturday morning in term time, learning both choral and more contemporary music, general musicianship and theory, and generally having a lot of fun along the way. Any chorister who would like to can also take part in the Voice for Life awards scheme. Once a month the choristers sing at our family communion service and also take part in other events and services throughout the year. Each July they hold a sponsored sing, and have raised money for Mary's Meals to feed children in Malawi, Baby Basics to supply essentials to Ukrainian refugees with 0-5 year old in the UK, and trees for life at IcFEM Dreamland Mission in Kenya.
This year the sponsored sing takes place on 12th July from 9.15am - 10.30am and the choristers are raising money for Watoto Children's villages in Uganda to help build 3 playgrounds for the children to play on. To nominate a song for the choristers to sing, click the button and complete the form. |

Choir
The adult choir sing for our communion service most Sunday mornings, rehearsing on a Friday at 5.30pm. Additionally for Christmas and other big events we have a larger 'extended' festival choir where those who can't commit to singing every Sunday join with our regular choir members to sing. Orchestral Band
Our once a month joint service has a growing orchestral style band that is always keen for new members to join. The band rehearse on the first Saturday of the month from 10-10.30am and has members of all ages and abilities. Contact Emma Keirle.
Contemporary Worship
Our informal Sunday service has music that is guitar or keyboard led, playing mainly contemporary style worship songs. We are on the look out for more musicians who are comfortable with this style of worship so that it can be developed more fully. Contact James Porter.
Concerts and Recitals
Town Church is a great space for a small concert, recital or worship event and we host a small programme of one-off performances and services during the year. Details will appear in this space, or ask to be added to our newsletter to make sure you don't miss an announcement.
